Terms of use
Terms of use
Last updated: September 29, 2026
These terms of use (the "Terms") set out the rules for accessing and using the ODASTRA app and the odastra.app website (together, the "Service"). You accept them when you create an account; simply browsing the website means accepting the rules that apply to it. The financial terms of the subscription are set out in the terms of sale.
1. Publisher
The Service is published by [Raison sociale], a [forme juridique] with a share capital of [montant du capital social], registered with the Trade and Companies Register of [ville du greffe] under number [numéro SIREN], with its registered office at [adresse du siège social]. EU VAT number: [numéro de TVA intracommunautaire]. Publication director: [nom du directeur de la publication].
Contact: [email protected]. Help with the app: [email protected].
2. What ODASTRA offers
ODASTRA is an audio wellbeing app. It offers guided sessions grouped into functions (Transformation, Regulation, Reinforcement, soothing, sleep and others), a guide, the Companion, which points you to sessions through a series of choices shown on screen, and personal tracking of your listening.
The ODASTRA method was built under the direction of our co-founder, a clinical psychologist and addiction specialist, drawing on more than thirty years of clinical practice. It is grounded in research on memory reconsolidation, which describes how a reactivated memory can be updated before it stabilises again. These references explain how the sessions are designed. They do not promise any result, which depends on each person and their own pace.
Sessions are streamed. With a paid subscription, they can also be downloaded for offline listening; the app then needs to reconnect from time to time to check that access is still open.
3. Your health: what ODASTRA is not
ODASTRA is a wellbeing service. It is not a medical device, a treatment or psychotherapy. It does not diagnose anything and does not replace the advice of a doctor, care from a health professional, or therapy. Never change an ongoing treatment without the advice of the person who is treating you.
If you are being treated for a mental or physical condition, or if you are going through a particularly fragile period, ask a health professional for advice before using the sessions. Some sessions work with memories and emotions: emotions, sensations or memories may surface in the days that follow. If they worry you or persist, take a break and talk to a professional.
ODASTRA is not an emergency service. If you feel you are in danger or are having suicidal thoughts, in France call 15 or 112, or 3114, the national suicide prevention line, free and available day and night. Elsewhere, call your country's emergency number.
4. Never while driving
The sessions are immersive. They can bring on deep relaxation, reduced alertness or sleep. Never listen to a session while driving a vehicle, operating machinery, or in any situation that requires your attention, for example near water or while looking after a young child. Settle somewhere safe, sitting or lying down.
5. Age
ODASTRA is intended for adults. A minor may use it from the age of 15, with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms on their behalf. Where the law of their country of residence sets a higher age, 16 in several European Union countries, that age applies.
The ODASTRA Partners programme is reserved for adults.
6. Your account
The Service requires an account, created with a valid email address, a password and a first name. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your password to yourself. Anything done from your account is deemed to have been done by you, unless you report fraudulent use to us at [email protected].
Your account is strictly personal: it may not be shared, lent or sold. You can delete it at any time from the app.
7. One active device
Only one device can be active on an account at a time. You can change device up to four times per rolling six-month period: a new change becomes possible again as soon as the oldest one falls outside that period.
Before each sign-in, a window warns you that the device signed in until then will be signed out, and reminds you of this limit. Sign-in only goes ahead once you confirm. Sessions downloaded on the previous device can no longer be played there.
This rule protects the work of the people who create the sessions, keeps the subscription fairly priced, and makes it possible to spot access to your account that you did not authorise.
8. Content and how you may use it
The sessions, voices, music, texts, visuals and software belong to [Raison sociale] or its partners. For as long as you have access, you are granted a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to listen to and use them for yourself, privately and non-commercially.
In particular, you may not:
• record, copy or extract a session;
• play it to other people, in public, on social media, in a group session or as part of a professional activity, without our written consent;
• use it to train or feed an artificial intelligence system;
• circumvent the technical protection of the audio files, or try to download the catalogue in bulk.
To protect the catalogue, the number of sessions unlocked over a short period is capped. Normal personal use does not reach this cap.
9. Rules of use
You agree not to: use the Service with automated tools; try to access other people's data or ODASTRA's systems; decompile the app beyond what the law allows; disrupt the Service; create several accounts to get a trial or an offer more than once; use the Service unlawfully.
If you breach these rules, we may suspend access to the account, then close it if the breach is serious or repeated. We warn you beforehand, unless the seriousness of the facts or the security of the Service prevents it. You can challenge this decision by writing to [email protected].
10. Availability and changes
We do our best to keep the Service available at all times, subject to maintenance, updates and incidents affecting networks or our providers. An app update may be required to keep using it, in particular for security reasons.
The catalogue evolves: sessions are added, others may be reworked or withdrawn. In every case, the Service remains consistent with what was described when you subscribed.
11. Liability
We take reasonable steps to provide a quality Service. We are not liable for damage resulting from use contrary to sections 3 and 4, from your equipment or your connection, or from an event of force majeure.
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability where the law prohibits it, in particular for personal injury, gross negligence or wilful misconduct, nor the rights you have by law as a consumer, including the legal guarantee of conformity described in the terms of sale.
12. The odastra.app website
The website can be browsed freely, without an account. The pre-registration form and the ODASTRA Partners application form are only used for the purpose stated next to them; the privacy policy describes what happens to the information you provide.
The website sometimes links to other websites, such as our social media accounts. We are not responsible for their content or for how they handle your data.
13. ODASTRA Partners
ODASTRA Partners is a paid ambassador programme, reserved for adults. Applications are made on the website. An accepted application leads to a separate partnership agreement that sets out the remuneration and each party's commitments; these Terms are not a partnership agreement.
14. App downloaded from the App Store or Google Play
If you downloaded the app from Apple's App Store, the following rules also apply:
• these Terms are concluded between you and [Raison sociale], not with Apple Inc. [Raison sociale], not Apple, is solely responsible for the app and its content;
• your right to use the app is limited to Apple-branded devices that you own or control, in accordance with the usage rules set out in the App Store terms, which also allow access by other accounts associated with you through Family Sharing or volume purchasing;
• Apple has no obligation whatsoever to provide maintenance or support services for the app;
• if the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app, if any; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the app;
• Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app or your use of it, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to any legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection or privacy law: such claims are the responsibility of [Raison sociale];
• if a third party claims that the app or your use of it infringes their intellectual property rights, [Raison sociale], not Apple, is responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of that claim;
• you represent that you are not located in a country subject to a United States Government embargo or designated by it as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any United States Government list of prohibited or restricted parties;
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms: once you have accepted them, Apple has the right to enforce them against you.
For any question or claim about the app: [Raison sociale], [adresse du siège social], [email protected].
If you downloaded the app from Google Play, the Google Play terms of service also apply to your relationship with Google.
15. Ending use of the Service
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. Remember to cancel your subscription with the App Store or Google Play first: deleting the account does not do so.
If we had to shut the Service down permanently, we would give you at least thirty days' notice.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may amend these Terms to reflect changes to the Service or to the law. Any significant change is announced in the app at least thirty days before it takes effect. If you do not accept it, you can cancel your subscription and delete your account before that date.
17. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by French law. If you live in another European Union country, you keep the protection granted to you by the mandatory rules of that country.
If a problem arises, please write to us first at [email protected]. If your complaint is not resolved, you can refer it free of charge to the consumer mediator named in the terms of sale. Failing agreement, the dispute is brought before the competent court under the ordinary rules of law.
